Many players in WoW have a hard time making gold. If you are a WoW subscriber you probably know the pain of getting and holding onto some gold. And you probably know by now if you buy gold from sites the only thing that happens is that you get banned or hacked. But there are plenty of places in this game to help you earn some gold. It’s simply a matter of knowing where to farm for it. The auction house is also a useful tool I will cover.

- Train in Herbalism if you have a skill slot free, it’s great for making gold. Loch Modan is a great low level area to try out for some gold farming. Once you get higher you can go to Hitherlands and Swamp of Sorrows to farm some gold. The ghost cap mushrooms in the Hitherlands can get a lot of gold for you through the auction house.
- After level 54 or so Winterspring is the place to be. Many ghosts that are around 55 pop up that are easy to kill and respawn very fast. Keep and eye out for black lotuses while farming the ghosts if you are a herbalist, they fetch even more gold than ghost mushrooms.
- If one of your professions is mining, farming tin at the lower end of the game in Southern Barrens and Ashenvale is a great way to earn some gold. Mithril is the next best bet once you are high enough to hit Un’Goro and Tanaris.
- Checking out Limited Supply Items can get you alot of gold as well. There are many vendors around the world which have items that can only be bought so many times, and they resell well at the auction house. They sell many needed things such as plans, patterns, and even recipes which professions need.
- Humanoid creatures are prime targets for farming, undead as well. The cloth they drop can get you a lot of gold as well as the weapon they let go of as well. Getting some green items from them as well shouldn’t surprise you, which really helps out enchanters.
- You can get alot of gold from Dustwallow Marsh as well. Skinning is the prime skill to have for this area. The eastern beach is covered in level 36 to 38 turtles for you to skin. The alligators in the area have a bountiful as well but you shouldn’t attack them before level 38.
- You can get tons of gold and loot in instances as well, but this method is a bit more difficult solo. Farming the library wing in the Scarlet Monastery will give you a lot of gold too. If you are capable of doing the place solo, go for it!
WoW Gold Farming
Wow Gold Farming is much easier with a comprehensive guide, but I will give you a few locations that you should utilize when trying to make more money through WoW Gold Farming.
The major region that should be primarily used for Wow Gold Farming is in the Eastern Plaguelands, as this area is crawling with monsters that yield gold.
While WoW Gold Farming in the Eastern Plaguelands may take some time as the monsters in this region do not drop enormous amounts of gold, they still tend to drop greater amounts then other areas of the world. If you need to make a massive amount of gold through WoW Gold Farming and have a few hours to spare, this region is the best area to do so.
The first monsters you should consider killing for WoW Gold Farming are Mossflayer Zombies, and while they do not drop a large assortment of loot, these are by far the easiest to kill. The primary reason you should consider using the Mossflayer Zombies for WoW Gold Farming is due to the fact they frequently drop runeclothes, and these can be sold for a fair amount of money!
Furthermore, the Eastern Plaguelands acts as an excellent spot for WoW Gold Farming as the monsters tend to respawn at a faster rate, allowing you to quickly gain money.
Additionally, try to look for Plaguebats, as these foes typically drop an assortment of items that are often great for WoW Gold Farming. One of the better WoW Gold Farming items dropped by these monsters is referred to as “Evil Bat Eyes”, which can be sold for 2 gold each.
While engaging in WoW Gold Farming, also focus on the skinning profession, which allows you to skin the bats and sell the associated hides for a fair amount of gold.
Finally, the last monster to focus on during WoW Gold Farming is the Carrion Devourers, and these can be found in large quantities in the Plaguelands; these creatures drop “Larval Acid”, which can be sold for 8 gold each. Considering all the aforementioned information, it becomes clear why the Plaguelands are considered one of the best regions for WoW Gold Farming.
The best aspect about WoW Gold Farming and the mobs mentioned previously is they are all relatively easy to slay, allowing you to rapidly make great amounts of gold.
